Software Engineer

  • Developed Java tool to automatically grab messages from RabbitMQ and send those messages as requests to server via REST API calls. Implemented retry mechanism where service would keep resending until it received 200 response back from server, otherwise those messages would be stored back on the RabbitMQ queue.
  • I was also a member of the on-call team and support any production issues that may arise at any time day/night.
  • Automated build process in Jenkins by writing shell, maven commands on code merge in develop branch on Gitlab
  • Developed a system to update semi-truck software over the air via wireless communication system for over 360,000 trucks. Technologies used to develop this: Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Angular) and Backend: NodeJS, MySQL, Kafka, Java, rancher. Hosted on AWS, S3 and logs in Splunk, built via Maven. Developed APIs for the application portal.
  • Generated test data in Java. Made 100,000 requests to server in 1 hour via REST calls in JMeter using data generated.
  • Automated tests using Selenium for tickets listed in JIRA & worked closely with Software Developers on the team to resolve issues found during testing. Created release notes based on tests conducted using qTest application.

  • Optimized an existing Android app that uses OCR along with Machine Learning to convert Handwritten text to plain text and stores to log file on AWS with user’s profile.
  • Automated tasks on AWS S3 using shell and logs stored locally on CSV file.
  • Developed RESTful API using MEAN Stack.
  • Developed Android AR Apps for Vuzix M300 smart-glasses following TDD, DRY principle and MVP framework.
  • Optimized the app to lessen battery usage and calls to the network by prefetching content using custom Cache manager. Also developed 3D models using Blender.

Full Stack Developer Intern

  • Worked as Full Stack Developer Intern with 'The Neighborhood' a startup based in FiDi New York. Designed and developed startup's first website for subscription based recurring payments and POS for on-field sales.
  • Website allows customers to select a product from a list of categories and they will be recursively billed every month, updating their membership.
  • Used Shopify, ReCharge and Stripe API for building website and am currently using their API's for App development. The APIs request are used to receive data from Shopify for generation of user database and to make payments using ReCharge and Stripe.
  • Also in the piplelines are app development for iOS and Android which will allow the users to subscribe from the App and also check their plans and edit them if need be.

  • My Undergrad project was sponsored by Persistent Systems Ltd. We developed a Platform Independent Test Automation Framework using Selenium, Java and TestNG.
  • The main function of the software was to automate the test cases using the input values given to the software in the form of an XML file or Excel data sheets.
  • The software then automated the tests that were to be carried out from the test cases specified. This project helped the company save about $7000 in license costs.
